The teacher was silent for awhile
And we were all together in the prayer
From beyond there were arriving words for the teacher to share
Your best effort is enough
You have life eternal yet to live
With or without this body you’ve got
Your soul has what to give
Mistakes are part of the lesson telling why the truth is what it is
Why it makes the heart receptive to its own self from within
No one is better and no one is worse
We have wisdom for each other’s ignorance
We are all able to learn
And we are all able to give
Time and effort
Deep reflection
Patience for the in-between
Love for yourself to be able to admit
“I did this wrong, I didn’t get it
I was lost in the minute to minute
But now I’m making the commitment
To find a way to overcome”
One that takes the rest of the days of your life to know it’s really done
Grateful til the end
Which isn’t the end
Never, ever again
